Acronie is the team name of two artists, Dominique Cunin (fr) and Mayumi Okura (jp). They live and work in Paris and began their collaboration around 2005.
Dominique Cunin, 1980
Graduate of the ENSA Nancy and the EESI of Poitiers (fr). Currently PhD student at Paris 8 University, researcher professor at EnsadLab, Esad Valence and Head Geneva. He had the opportunity to be the curator of the exhibition Continuum, official program of Luxembourg 2007 European Capital of Culture. His works are shown in exhibitions related to research programs such as In-Out (2008, Paris), Lost Time, a relic of a second life (2009) and published in online publications (2010 – So Multiples) or printed books (R & C – Burozoïque).
Mayumi Okura – 1977
Graduate of Tama Art University, Tokyo, and of Ensa Nancy (fr), she participated to the « Program of study abroad for Artists » – Ministry of Culture of the Japanese Government – in 2007. She’s is currently PhD student at Paris 8 University, and assosiated researcher at EnsadLab. Her works has been presented in France, Japan, Swiss, South Korea and are often integrated in research programs such as TerraNumerica (2010 – Paris – Cap Digital), or international event like Lift10 (Geneva).
Their most recent participation in international events include workshop in Isea 2011 – Istanbul and NTUA Taipei (2011), and exhibition in Lausanne – Swiss (2012)
